Well, it’s Friday and it’s moms first day to watch Sam. I am pretty excited to go to lunch with Janie by myself so that we can actually talk. This is the first time that I have seen Janie since she had her baby in April. We had a really good lunch and John is adorable. She was really interested in argainbay and I think we are going to set up some time for her to come up to the warehouse so she can check out the products and decide what she wants to buy, if anything. She also asked if I scrapbook pages for other people. I told her that this barn page for Kathy was the first, but that it is something we have talked about offering through the website . It is a definite possibility.
Dena called and asked if she could bring the boys down here today, which is always fine with me. The boys seemed to have a good time. I showed Dena the barn page to get some feedback and she said she really liked it. Tonight is the Discovery Toys party that I’m hosting. I am actually kind of excited. Beth and her mom are coming and so is Rebecca and Wanda and Dana. I hope that is goes smoothly.
Sam and I walked to the post office today and mailed some bills. It was good to get out of the house and the weather was beautiful. Sam seemed to really enjoy our walk. When we got back Sam and I had lunch and then when he went down for his nap, I worked on the barn page for Maggie’s party. Cliff is helping me make a barn with doors that open so that the guests can sign inside the barn. So far, it looks awesome. Cliff did a great job on the barn.
I talked to Kathy this morning to let her know that Sam and I aren’t going to make it to playgroup today. Instead, I took Sam over to moms and we worked in the warehouse while Sam napped. Also, Kathy asked me to scrap a farm themed signature page for Maggie’s birthday party on Saturday. So, while I was at the warehouse this afternoon I picked up some papers for the page. I think the Paperloft Weathered Series will work the best.
Sam and I walked to the post office this morning to mail the cards that I wrote on Saturday morning. I hope that this will help to get our business name out to at least a few people. Now, if mom and Eric can do the same thing, that would help even more. I went through my pictures again today and decided which ones I would keep but not scrapbook and then I put those up on the shelf in the closet and then I made a box that was for pictures that I do want to scrapbook. I feel a little more organized. I don’t think I am going to take Sam to playgroup tomorrow so we’ll probably go to moms and then I’ll put Sam down for a nap and try to scrapbook during naptime.
Donna called and asked if we would watch Seth today while she and Joe went to Estes Park to celebrate their anniversary. Needless to say, I didn’t get much done. Cliff was able to get some work done on the patio room. He actually got the whole room sided inside and out. It looks great! I think the boys had a good time playing with each other today. They got along really well and I got some cute pictures that should be fun to scrapbook.
Cliff worked on the patio again today, and Sam and I “helped” him. I wrote 16 cards to friends and family and enclosed our business cards and asked them to put the cards at their workplaces or pass them along to friends or family who scrapbook. Cliff and I had another serious talk about our financial situation and I feel a lot better about our discussion and decisions.
Decided to go to moms again today, we have some things to go over regarding advertising for the website and I need to drop off a couple of magazines for her that I forgot yesterday. Sam didn’t want to come home with me again……little turkey!
Went to moms today to check out what she has been doing in the warehouse. Sam had a good time playing in fact he didn’t want to come home with me! The warehouse looks good, dad built a huge peg-board unit for us to hang products on, he did a great job it looks awesome.
Sam and I went to Dena’s today. We were late of course and by the time we got to her house I decided that it was one of those days that we should have just stayed in bed! Sam was up and wide awake last night – I don’t even know for how long because I turned the monitor down. Cliff said he heard him around 4:00 a.m. and so he went in and Sam had taken his pants and diaper off! Maybe he is ready to start potty training???? Well, I sat him on his potty tonight and he kept getting off of it and then would put his feet in the urinal part and sit on the edge of the seat. Who knows, I am really dreading this whole potty training thing! Anyway, after we left Dena’s we had to stop at Walmart so of course Sam didn’t get down for his normal nap and ended up only sleeping for about an hour. He was in a good mood when he got up, but he was pretty much a bear by bedtime. Tomorrow should be better, we don’t have any errands to run and should be able to stick to the schedule. I have two windows left to trim and the garage doors and then my part of painting the house is done and Cliff has to do the rest.
